Congregational Announcements
Vacation Bible School starts today! [Sunday through Thursday evenings, July 12-16, from 6:00-8:30pm] If you have not registered by this morning, plan to come early (5:30) this evening to register. Children may take a ride on the “CANYON” TRAIN in the parking lot! Invite friends and neighbors to join us in exploring the Wonders of the Word at Discovery Canyon!
Church Office Affirmation Slate: The affirmation slate for 2009 – 2010 church offices has been placed in mailboxes and on the information table. Everyone is invited to affirm the persons listed. The forms are due to be returned to the reply box by July 26th.
Staff schedules:
- Gina Burkhart, Assoc. Pastor of Worship, is on vacation this week, July 15-19.
Fair trade coffee, tea and chocolate: There will be a change this month for our fair trade coffee sales. It will be the third Sunday, July 19, instead of the second Sunday of the month. Also, there will be no coffee sales in the month of August. We will resume the second Sunday of the month in September.
School Kit Project for MCC: You and your children and invited to make school kits. Last year nearly 130,000 kits were distributed, many to Iraq and Jordan.
School Kit Contents: (New items only)
- Four spiral or perforated notebooks, about 8”x10 ½”,
70-80 sheets, each
- Four unsharpened #2 pencils
- One plastic ruler, flat and flexible, that indicates both 12” and 30 cm
- 12 colored pencils, in the packaging
- One large pencil eraser
Place contents in the box provided in the information area before August 23.
