1. Dwelling in the Word
Randall led us in reflecting on John 5:16-21 by asking, “What are you hearing or drawn to, and what is God saying to you?” Following the conversation, Julia led in prayer.
2. Approving Minutes
Minutes from the May 11, 2009 meeting were approved as written.
3. Reporting:
Christian Education—Gerry & Rose Baer
- The superintendents are working on a slate of teachers for next year.
- A men’s elective class is planned for July.
- Teachers and helpers are needed for Vacation Bible School.
Lead Pastor—Randall Shull
- Steve Horst is chairing a steering committee for men’s ministry. They’re hoping to launch a small group Bible study this fall, as well as other activities.
- A new member’s class is being worked on for this September.
- During Randall’ prayer and planning retreat he worked on a September—August preaching schedule.
Missional Life—Dan Burkhart
- The Good News Club, an after-school program, has invited our congregation to adopt a school and host two 7-week sessions. Dan will bring a job description to the next meeting.
Pastoral Care—Julia Fisher
- There have been good responses to Julia’s inquiry of a women’s gathering/Bible study. Women are planning a Bible study for this fall.
- Julia gave an update on Health & Wholeness restructuring.
Stewardship—Lynn Roth
- Lynn continues to work on finances. Giving is good and not quite enough.
- He updated Team on the Board decision to form a finance committee, and other budget related items.
Worship—Gina Burkhart
- The congregational feedback has been positive for involving Worship Planning Teams. Team gave feedback and reflections on services.

a. Strategies toward our mission statement priorities
- Each area of ministry shared in small groups, strategies in his/her area of ministry related to the three 2-year priorities.
