Clair and Beth Good will be preaching at Landisville Mennonite on Sunday, July 11. Clair and Beth have served the church and the mission of Christ in many capacities and are currently serving Lancaster Conference and the Manor District as church planters in Columbia, PA.
Community Meal: Looking for small groups, Sunday School classes or families to provide a meal for the Landisville community. The following dates are open: July 22, August 26, October 28. Please contact Seline Perrone with interest 898-0340 or bjandseline@pa.net
VBS volunteers (class teachers and backpack adventure activity leaders): Please plan to come to the VBS orientation meeting 6:30pm on Tuesday, July 6 at church. Check with Nance Fertich or Brenda Horst for more information or questions. Thank you!
The VBS Mission Project this year, to go along with our mountain theme, will concentrate on Chile and the kits that Dustin and Sarah Gingrich help to take to displaced victims of the February earthquake and tsunami. Each kit ($200 each) includes a cooking stove, propane tank, a cabinet, fold-away table, a regulator hose, four stacking stools, two shelves, 6 place settings, a teapot, 3-piece cooking utensil set, and a set of pots and pans. The congregation will also have an opportunity to give to the project Sundays July 11th and 18th at the VBS mountain display in the lobby.
“Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” is an optional church activity for Sunday lunch, August 1. Interested members will sign up either to host the lunch or be a guest of someone who is hosting. The host will provide the main dish and guests will be assigned to bring a side dish or dessert. Over the next 3 Sundays there will be a table in the foyer for sign ups. Deadline to sign up is July 11. You will receive food information the week of July 25. Guests will receive their assigned host location and map in their mailboxes on Sunday, August 1.
