Health & Wholeness Ministry

John 10:10 -"I am come that they might have life, life in all its fullness" The Bible values health; Jesus' example in caring for the body, mind and spirit offers us an invitation to live human life to the full. The Anabaptist tradition makes the community of supporting believers the natural place for wholeness and caring to take place. It is the goal of the Health and Wholeness Team, functioning under the concept of the Parish Nurse, to enable everyone to achieve their own highest level of wellness.

The role of the Health and Wholeness Ministry includes health education, health counseling, health referral resource and health/spirituality enabling. This is carried out in a variety of ways: Providing current reliable periodicals and books, promoting education and information that challenges everyone to work at a healthy lifestyle, offering monthly blood pressure checks, assisting in the navigation of an ever-changing health-care system, supporting those involved in stress events, i.e., new parents, illness/surgery or end-of-life issues.

Monthly meetings provide team member support/update and a time for formulating strategy in carrying out the stated mission. The Health and Wholeness Ministry encourages everyone to work together for wholeness in each individual life as we live and walk together in community
