Get Involved

We hope that our life together encourages you to find meaning and purpose in following Jesus Christ. If you have hopes or gifts that you want to share with our congregation, please do not hesitate to speak with one of our pastors!

Here are some of the many ways to be actively involved in the community and ministries of Landisville Mennonite Church:

Sunday morning gatherings

  • We meet for gathered worship every Sunday at 9:00 am
  • All are welcome to enjoy hot or cold drinks together in our multipurpose room immediately after the worship service each Sunday
  • Sunday school, a time for studying the Bible, seeking Jesus, and developing friendships, occurs Sundays at 10:30 am, following the fellowship time

Wednesday Night Out

All are welcome to join us for a meal, conversation, and other activities the first Wednesday of each month, October through June, at 5:45pm. Each Wednesday Night Out includes special programs at 7 pm for adults, youth and children. Childcare is provided for infants through 1st grade. If you are joining us for the first time, be sure to introduce yourself—we would love to get to know you. See the 2011-2012 schedule here.

Connections

This is a free, informal program ministering to the needs of women, Wednesdays, September-May, 9:30-11:00a.m. Childcare is provided for nursery and preschool age children. The 2011-2012 schedule is available now.

Women’s sewing group

This group meets the first Thursday of the month, 8:30-2:30, making and knotting comforts, quilting, sewing items for newborn kits and assembling kits for Mennonite Central Committee. See pictures here. Please call the church office if you want more information.

Activities for Children and Youth

Specific activities for children include girls club (also called “JGAs”), boys club (also called “Torchbearers”), and Sunday school. If you have questions about any of these, please contact the church office or pastor Jonathan Bowman.

Youth are an enjoyable and inspiring priority for our congregation. We have Senior High (grades 9-12) and Junior High (grades 6-8) youth groups who meet at least twice a month in addition to Sunday mornings. Please contact the church office or pastor Jonathan Bowman for schedules and other information.

Small groups

Many in our congregation have joined together in small groups. These groups are places of support, care, and learning together. If you are interested in joining a small group, please contact pastor Julia Fisher.
